Parkway Drive - "Deep Blue" (2010)

Deep Blue is what you get when you mix Parkway Drives' last two albums AND their EP. I'd like to call it another one of 2010's best releases. The album caught me off-guard when I first peeped it but then it's originality hit me after a few listens. Breakdowns are as heavy as ever, solos provide justice, and the vocals well, they just got better. One thing that didn't change was the odd lyrics PWD loves to use but I never looked down on them, they actually interest me.

1. Samsara (1:45)
2. Unrest (2:19)
3. Sleepwalker (4:01)**
4. Wreckage (3:21)
5. Deadweight (3:47)
6. Alone (4:30)
7. Pressures (3:22)
8. Deliver Me (4:13)***
9. Karma (3:49)
10. Home is for the Heartless (4:08)
11. Hollow (3:00)

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! - "Something for Nothing" (2010)

Brought to the table is what would be labeled a clash of genres....metal, pop punk, hardcore, chunkcore.......naw, I'm just kiddin' about the 'chunkcore'. On a serious note, this album is another beaut from 2010. Catchy, to describe it in its' all, is the key to this album (along with the usual characteristics of °br00talness). You might have to get over the hump concerning C!NCC!'s vocals (and perhaps the lyrics based on friendship and your 'brothers'). They re-released it in 2011 and possibly will I have it up in the near future. Check up on that.....and this entire album, pronto.

1. Born of Adversity (2:56)
2. In Friends with Trust (3:27)***
3. Positiv-o (3:22)
4. We Fell Fast (4:31)
5. Time's Up! (3:53)
6. Summer Heat (3:09)*
7. Sink or Swim (4:21)**
8. Life (3:43)
9. Captain Blood (3:19)
10. For All We Know (2:51)
11. Milf (3:58)
12. Xoxo (2:58)

°br00talness; - what is considered a high level of brutality.

Buried In Verona - "Saturday Night Sever" (2010)

Remember all those bands you heard in 2010? If Buried in Verona isn't on that list then what the fuck are you waiting for? This is the best metalcore you will hear for awhile. Breakdowns, catchy riffs, melodic choruses...you want it, you got it. Saturday Night Sever is one of those albums you overlook but when you feast your ears onto it, you are quite surprised you almost did indeed skip listening to it.

1. The End (4:25)
2. Temptress (3:47)**
3. Saturday Night Sever (4:03)
